I fought my primary physician's recommendation for about a year. I had heard about sleep tests and seen the CPAP machines and didn't want to have anything to do with it. However, after another incident of almost falling asleep driving to work, I decided that I had to face the inevitable.

My doctor recommended seeing Dr. LaFemina. He said that I could take an at home sleep test and Dr. LaFemina could fit me with a mouth guard , instead of the machine.

Within a few minutes into my appointment, I felt very comfortable with the doctor and the staff. They explained the various tests that were done, explained sleep apnea and how the mouth guard worked. Even the sleep test was easy. Donna and Dr. LaFemina answered my many questions.

I was amazed at the difference even after one night sleeping with the guard. It was easy to get used to and it was great not falling asleep driving to work! The best part is it is so easy to use the guard that I never forget to use it, unlike other people I know who use the CPAP.

I would recommend to anyone seeing Dr. LaFemina if you think you may have sleep apnea or if you are using a CPAP. He has definitely improved my life!

Dr. Gilbert LaFemina has restored my confidence in the dental profession. I had a bad experience in the past with a dental doctor, and stayed away from going to have my teeth examined. But now, I have complete confidence of not being hurt or fearing pain by a dental doctor. I had a tooth pulled with no pain in the whole procedure. He also made me a new denture for the top my mouth and a bridge for the bottom, and the top denture fits like a glove. He has been very kind and understanding while he removed any spots that hurt my gums.
